Leather sleeves + white

Éste es el segundo look de nuestra nueva dinámica.
Para quienes aún no saben sobre ella, les explico rápido; vamos a estar compartiendo tendencias específicas por semana y la manera en la cual cada una de nosotras la aplica en sus outfits. Así, ustedes pueden ver diversas opciones y adaptar a su estilo la que más se empareje con su personalidad y gustos.

La PIEL es la tendencia de esta primer semana y la manera en la cual la aplique fue en los pequeños detalles de mi blazer (mangas, cuello, solapas, etc). Además de estar presente en mi bolso y zapatos (por si no lo habían notado, mi juego favorito ultimamente).
Quise aprovechar estos últimos días frescos para utilizarla, aunque en realidad como había mencionado Denise la principal ventaja de esta tendencia es que esta presente cada estación por lo que no deberás preocuparte en que época del año estas vistiendo piel. Cómo muestra de que no pasa de moda, he preparado para mi próximo post los mejores looks en piel del London Fashion Week.

This is the second look of our new post initiave.
For those who still do not know about it, let me explain: we will be sharing specific trends per week and the way each of us applies them into our outfits. In that way, you´ll be able to have different options and get inspired by the one that matches your personality and style.
LEATHER is the first trend, and I applied it in the little details of my blazer (sleeves , collar, lapels, etc.) . Besides from being the material of my bag and shoes (if you did not noticed, they have been my favorite duo lately).
I used this blazer, taking advantage of the last cool days of the season, but actually like Denise mentioned, the main benefit of the leather pieces is that this trend is present all the seasons, so you won´t need to worry about whether you are in or out using it. Just to prove you this trend is timeless I have prepared the best leather looks of London Fashion week in my next post.

Simple Sweatshirt

La semana pasada les compartí un look de falda usando de top una sudadera gris, la cual compré literalmente en un supermercado. Esta semana el frío tan repentino me obligó a usarla de nuevo, y aproveché para mostrarles otra manera de crear un outfit con ella.
Las piezas básicas tienen un sin fin de ventajas: precio, versatilidad, accesibilidad, variedad, y la más importante atemporalidad (Si es que existe este termino).

Use diferentes tonos  de grises así como de negros. Aunque simple , como la mayoría de mis últimos looks, encontré muy divertido mezclar diversas texturas (terciopelo, algodón, charol, etc) .

Que pasen un excelente San Valentín con quien sea que lo pasen y muchas felicidades a mi hermosa hermana que cumple años!

Last week, I published an outfit post wearing a skirt and a basic gray sweatshirt which I literally found on a supermarket. This week, because of the cold weather, I saw myself forced to use it again, so I took advantage of the opportunity to show you another way to create an outfit with it.
Basic pieces really have a great number of benefits: Good price, versatility, accessibility, and most important timelessness (if that´s even a word)

I used different shades of gray and black. And although the complete outfit it´s simple, I think it was fun mixing different textures (velvet, cotton, patent, etc).

Windowpane skirt

Por fin Viernes y para acabar la semana les dejo un look que use el fin de semana pasado, (cuando el clima aún lo permitía)

Ultimamente trato de hacer mis looks lo mas sencillos posibles, me inspiro en muchas personas, sitios, partes, Pinterest es mi fuente  favorita y mi actual obsesión es Elin Kling, siempre me ha atraido su estilo sobre todo por lo elegante y  chic que puede hacer ver cualquier prenda básica.

Ustedes tienen alguna fuente de inspiración que los mantenga obsesionados últimamente?

Perfect Combination

Esto es lo que yo llamo una combinación perfecta: elementos muy básicos, mezclado creando un look muy completo.

– Blusa blanca: Pieza esencial que todos deben tener en su armario. Económica y fácil de encontrar.
– Falda negra tipo lápiz: EL mejor color, el mejor corte en una falda. También es muy fácil de conseguir y puedes encontrar miles de estilos, como la mía, que tiene una capa de malla por encima.
– Botas Chunky: El mejor contraste en cualquier outfit. Puede ser cualquier estilo de botas, siempre y cuando te queden bien y te gusten.

This is what I call a perfect combination: pretty basic items, mixed up creating a very complete outfit.

– White shirt: Essential piece that everyone should have in their closet. Affordable and easy to find.
– Black pencil skirt: Best color, best cut on a skirt. Also very easy to get and you can find tons of variations, like mine which has a mesh layer over it.
– Chunky boots: The best contrast on any outfit. Could be any style of boots as long as looks good on you.

All Loose

Ultimamente, mi closet ha sido victima de mi reciente atracción por las prendas holgadas sobretodo hablando de jeans y pantalones. Amo lo cómodos que son y lo fácil que puedes cambiar de casual a formal. Tengo más de un par que meuro por mostrarles, incluyendo los que uso en estas fotografías. El color, la tela, el corte y la forma en que me quedan son perfectos para mi gusto.

Además en este outfit estoy probando algo nuevo para mi, ya que siempre había pensado que si una parte de tu look es holgada o suelta la otra debe ser ajustada para no verte muy cuadrada o sin figura, pero esta vez me llamo la atención hacer lo contrario y decidí usar prendas muy sueltas. Al final el resultado me gusto y fue de lo más cómodo usar este tipo de ropa.

Deberían de intentarlo, prendas sueltas y capas para invierno!

Lately my closet has been a victim of my recent attraction to very loose clothing especially jeans and trousers. I love how comfortable they are and how easy you can switch from casual to formal. I can not wait to show you a couple of them, including the ones that I´m using on these pictures. The color, the fabric, the cut and the way I they fit me are perfect for me.
I’m also trying something new for me, since I have always thought that if a part of your look is loose the other one must be tight so your body don´t look without shape or with a square shape. But this time I decided to do exactly the opposite and wear only loose clothes. I really liked the result and it was very comfortable.

You should try, loose clothing and layers for winter!

Phillip Lim for Target -The Blazer-

Una de las mejores cosas en el mundo de la moda actual son la colaboraciones de grandes diseñadores con tiendas de mayor acceso. La más reciente… Isabel Marant para H&M, que ha sido una locura en el mundo de la moda como toda buena colaboración sus productos se agotaron en cuestión de horas, algunos diría que en minutos; pero la verdad es que sus precios se me hicieron muy elevados y no sentí ese pensamiento de ¨lo necesito¨ que me ha pasado (muchas veces). Una colaboración que se lanzó hace un par de meses fue la de Phillip Lim para Target; si fui de esas que se levantaron en la madrugada para alcanzar a comprar alguna de sus prendas y fui afortunada en poder comprar éste saco de estampado increíble. Solamente quería compartirles un post usándolo, ya que no había tenido oportunidad de hacerlo, un look muy casual pero ideal y también unas fotos muy apresuradas (el cambio de horario no me ayuda nada con la luz) pero suficientes para mostrarles una opción de cómo usar el saco. Cuales han sido sus últimas compras en colaboraciones de diseñador?

A different Crop Top

Éste look es de mi fin de semana pasado, los crop tops fueron mi opción definitiva para el ambiente durante ésos dias. Como ya sabemos hay una infinidad de tipos de crop tops y tambien de cómo usarlos, la forma mas común es con alguna prenda a la cintura, pero esta vez decidí atreverme un poco mas y usarlo con mis boyfriend jeans a la cadera. Sentí que debía darle una oportunidad a la tendencia en mas de un estilo y no creo que resultara tan mal, simplemente es algo que no creo adoptar para traer tan seguido. Que tanto les gustan los croptops?  Cual es su estilo favorito?

This look is what I wore last weekend, apparently crop tops were my option for the weather in those days. As we may know there are many types of crop tops and of ways to use them, the “easiest” and best known is with a high wasted bottom, but this time I decided to go bolder and I wore it with my boyfriend jeans. I felt I should give a chance to the trend with another style and I don’t think that turn out that bad, I’m just not planning to do it often. Transitioning with Crop Top

Una de las tendencias que mas impactaron mi clóset ha sido la de tops cortos, tal vez no parezca la prenda más fácil de usar pero definitivamente le da un toque diferente a tu look, lo que más me gusta es que fue la prenda del verano y será también del invierno, así que aun tienes oportunidad de conseguir el tuyo y usarlo, sobre todo durante la transición a invierno. Yo decidí usarlo con una de mis faldas favoritas, me obsesiona su estructura y look de neopreno, cinto vintage y una chaqueta de mezclilla para darle un look más casual.

One of the trends that has caused the biggest impact in my closet has been ¨the crop top¨, it might not seem the easiest thing to wear, but it definitely gives a different touch into your look. What I love the most about this trend is that it was THE summer piece and it will be THE F/W piece as well, so you still have the chance to get yours and wear it, specially during winter transition.  I chose to wear it with one of my favorite skirts, I am obsessed with it’s structure and neoprene look… vintage belt and a jean jacket to make it more casual.

ALMOST TOO WHITE

Por fin un tuvimos un día cálido en la ciudad y yo no podía estar más feliz; no se que pasa conmigo que me gusta usar pantalones blancos en plena transición de temporada y durante el invierno. Algo que tenía ya ganas de usar era este top de ASOS, y elegí mi look en base a ésta blusa… color blanco con negro sólo en los extremos. Blanco y negro son dos colores que nunca fallan y hay demasiadas formas de combinarlos, ésta fué la mía. ¿La has intentado? Estoy enamorada de mi bolsa Phillip Lim para Target, tiene la forma y tamaño perfectos! ustedes compraron algo de su colección?

Finally a warm day in our city and I couldn’t be happier, I don’t know why, but I love to wear white jeans during fall transition or winter. Something I really wanted to wear was this ASOS top, and I chose my outfit inspired on it… White and black on the ends. Black and white have many ways to match, and this was mine. ¿Have you tried this? I am in love of my new Phillip Lim for Target bag, it has the perfect shape and size! The Letter Jacket

El otoño ya se siente totalmente en nuestra ciudad y debo admitir que aunque estaba consciente de la fecha… no me encontraba preparada para éste clima en lo absoluto. Me defino como un amante del verano (aun cuando los de Monterrey son súper extremos) y ¨verano¨ es lo que tenía en mente para el fin de semana pasado. Pero bien dicen que en toda situación hay que ver las oportunidades, así que ese día fue perfecto para usar mi nueva chaqueta de letras; es de esas piezas diferentes y divertidas que puedes tener en tu closet.

Hablando del look en general… hay algo con éstos boyfriend jeans que me encanta, todas sabemos que no son los pantalones mas favorecedores y mucha gente no entiende porque el gusto de traer algo aguado, roto y deslavado; pero es exactamente eso, usar algo para nada femenino junto con unos zapatos de pico rojos, top básica, accesorios vintage, labios rojos y chaqueta con un print diferente. Que opinan? Usan los boyfriend jeans? Cómo va su transición a invierno?

Fall has made presence in our city and I must admit that, even tough I was aware of the time of the year… I was not prepared at all for this weather. I would call myself as a ¨summer lover¨(even though it can be really hot in Monterrey) and ¨summer¨is what I was expecting for last weekend. But as people say, we must see opportunities in every situation, so that day was perfect to wear my new letter jacket, it is one of those different and fun pieces you can have in your closet.

Talking about my look in general…. there is something about this boyfriend jeans that I love, we all know they are not the most flattering jeans and a lot of people doesn’t understand why wearing something loose, ripped or leached; but that’s exactly the point: wearing something not girly next to a great pair of pointy red shoes, basic top, vintage accessories, red lips and a jacket with a different print.
