Leather sleeves + white

Éste es el segundo look de nuestra nueva dinámica.
Para quienes aún no saben sobre ella, les explico rápido; vamos a estar compartiendo tendencias específicas por semana y la manera en la cual cada una de nosotras la aplica en sus outfits. Así, ustedes pueden ver diversas opciones y adaptar a su estilo la que más se empareje con su personalidad y gustos.

La PIEL es la tendencia de esta primer semana y la manera en la cual la aplique fue en los pequeños detalles de mi blazer (mangas, cuello, solapas, etc). Además de estar presente en mi bolso y zapatos (por si no lo habían notado, mi juego favorito ultimamente).
Quise aprovechar estos últimos días frescos para utilizarla, aunque en realidad como había mencionado Denise la principal ventaja de esta tendencia es que esta presente cada estación por lo que no deberás preocuparte en que época del año estas vistiendo piel. Cómo muestra de que no pasa de moda, he preparado para mi próximo post los mejores looks en piel del London Fashion Week.

This is the second look of our new post initiave.
For those who still do not know about it, let me explain: we will be sharing specific trends per week and the way each of us applies them into our outfits. In that way, you´ll be able to have different options and get inspired by the one that matches your personality and style.
LEATHER is the first trend, and I applied it in the little details of my blazer (sleeves , collar, lapels, etc.) . Besides from being the material of my bag and shoes (if you did not noticed, they have been my favorite duo lately).
I used this blazer, taking advantage of the last cool days of the season, but actually like Denise mentioned, the main benefit of the leather pieces is that this trend is present all the seasons, so you won´t need to worry about whether you are in or out using it. Just to prove you this trend is timeless I have prepared the best leather looks of London Fashion week in my next post.

Simple Sweatshirt

La semana pasada les compartí un look de falda usando de top una sudadera gris, la cual compré literalmente en un supermercado. Esta semana el frío tan repentino me obligó a usarla de nuevo, y aproveché para mostrarles otra manera de crear un outfit con ella.
Las piezas básicas tienen un sin fin de ventajas: precio, versatilidad, accesibilidad, variedad, y la más importante atemporalidad (Si es que existe este termino).

Use diferentes tonos  de grises así como de negros. Aunque simple , como la mayoría de mis últimos looks, encontré muy divertido mezclar diversas texturas (terciopelo, algodón, charol, etc) .

Que pasen un excelente San Valentín con quien sea que lo pasen y muchas felicidades a mi hermosa hermana que cumple años!

Last week, I published an outfit post wearing a skirt and a basic gray sweatshirt which I literally found on a supermarket. This week, because of the cold weather, I saw myself forced to use it again, so I took advantage of the opportunity to show you another way to create an outfit with it.
Basic pieces really have a great number of benefits: Good price, versatility, accessibility, and most important timelessness (if that´s even a word)

I used different shades of gray and black. And although the complete outfit it´s simple, I think it was fun mixing different textures (velvet, cotton, patent, etc).

Windowpane skirt

Por fin Viernes y para acabar la semana les dejo un look que use el fin de semana pasado, (cuando el clima aún lo permitía)

Ultimamente trato de hacer mis looks lo mas sencillos posibles, me inspiro en muchas personas, sitios, partes, Pinterest es mi fuente  favorita y mi actual obsesión es Elin Kling, siempre me ha atraido su estilo sobre todo por lo elegante y  chic que puede hacer ver cualquier prenda básica.

Ustedes tienen alguna fuente de inspiración que los mantenga obsesionados últimamente?

Perfect Combination

Esto es lo que yo llamo una combinación perfecta: elementos muy básicos, mezclado creando un look muy completo.

– Blusa blanca: Pieza esencial que todos deben tener en su armario. Económica y fácil de encontrar.
– Falda negra tipo lápiz: EL mejor color, el mejor corte en una falda. También es muy fácil de conseguir y puedes encontrar miles de estilos, como la mía, que tiene una capa de malla por encima.
– Botas Chunky: El mejor contraste en cualquier outfit. Puede ser cualquier estilo de botas, siempre y cuando te queden bien y te gusten.

This is what I call a perfect combination: pretty basic items, mixed up creating a very complete outfit.

– White shirt: Essential piece that everyone should have in their closet. Affordable and easy to find.
– Black pencil skirt: Best color, best cut on a skirt. Also very easy to get and you can find tons of variations, like mine which has a mesh layer over it.
– Chunky boots: The best contrast on any outfit. Could be any style of boots as long as looks good on you.

All Loose

Ultimamente, mi closet ha sido victima de mi reciente atracción por las prendas holgadas sobretodo hablando de jeans y pantalones. Amo lo cómodos que son y lo fácil que puedes cambiar de casual a formal. Tengo más de un par que meuro por mostrarles, incluyendo los que uso en estas fotografías. El color, la tela, el corte y la forma en que me quedan son perfectos para mi gusto.

Además en este outfit estoy probando algo nuevo para mi, ya que siempre había pensado que si una parte de tu look es holgada o suelta la otra debe ser ajustada para no verte muy cuadrada o sin figura, pero esta vez me llamo la atención hacer lo contrario y decidí usar prendas muy sueltas. Al final el resultado me gusto y fue de lo más cómodo usar este tipo de ropa.

Deberían de intentarlo, prendas sueltas y capas para invierno!

Lately my closet has been a victim of my recent attraction to very loose clothing especially jeans and trousers. I love how comfortable they are and how easy you can switch from casual to formal. I can not wait to show you a couple of them, including the ones that I´m using on these pictures. The color, the fabric, the cut and the way I they fit me are perfect for me.
I’m also trying something new for me, since I have always thought that if a part of your look is loose the other one must be tight so your body don´t look without shape or with a square shape. But this time I decided to do exactly the opposite and wear only loose clothes. I really liked the result and it was very comfortable.

You should try, loose clothing and layers for winter!

Wearing Lines

He tenido unos días ocupadisimos, incluso para hacer éste post tengo poco tiempo y las fotos me las tomé el fin de semana pasado en tres minutos. En fin, quiero mostrarles mi nuevo sueter de Call Us Whatever  su estampado de cuadros es perfecto para ésta temporada (Tenemos disponibles!) para seguir con el mood decidí combinarlo con éstos pantalones anchos de líneas y mi bolsa blanco y negro; agregue un saco blanco y chaqueta de mezclilla para hacerlo un poco más casual y claro, mi bufanda negra.. ultimamente no salgo de mi casa sin bufanda!

I have had really busy days, I don’t even have a lot of time to make this post, and I took these pictures last weekend in three minutes. Anyway, I want to show you my new sweater from Call Us Whatever it’s window print is perfect for the season (we still have available) to continue with the ¨lined mood¨ I chose to pair it with my wide leg stripped pants and this black and white bag; I added a white blazer and a jean jacket to make it more casual, and of course… my scarf, now I can´t leave home without one!

The Cracked top

Recuerdan mi post de hace un par de semanas en el que hablé de la increible colección que realizó Alexander Wang para Balenciaga y el efecto que causó ese tipo de estampado o textura? – THE MARBLE EFFECT -Bueno pues como les dije, tenía una pieza increíble inspirada en ésto y ya quería compartirla con ustedes desde hace tiempo. No olviden que no es necesario un presupuesto alto para poder vestir en las últimas tendecias; lo mismo pasa con la falda estructurada que no me canso de usar, mi biker jacket y bueno… como ya saben mi obesión por los zapatos no es algo que desaparecerá así que les enseño mi última adquisición, estos botines de BCBGeneration que como siempre me sucede… fue amor a primera vista, su look tan pesado y ¨bad ass¨ me obsesiona; he tenido opiniones de todo tipo respecto a ellas, pero la verdad a mi me encantan! y es lo que importa siempre no?

Do you remember my post a couple of weeks ago, the one I talked about the incredible collection Alexander Wang created for Balenciaga and the effect I started to notice about that pattern or texture? – THE MARBLE EFFECT – Well, as I mentioned that day, I have this amazing piece inspired on this and I wanted to show it to you for a while now. Don’t ever forget it’s not necessary a huge budget for you to wear the latest trends; that’s the same I can say about my structured skirt that I can’t get enough of it, mi biker jacket and well… as you may noticed, my shoe obsession is not something that will disappear; so here is my latest acquisition, this BCBGeneration ankle boots that as usual it was love at first sight, them heavy and ¨bad ass¨ appearance obsess me, I’ve had any kind of opinions about them, but the truth is I love them! And that is all that matters right?

All Black, Red Hat

Las temperaturas han sido muy frías en los últimos días, y la realidad es que no es común para nuestra ciudad. Dicen muchos que éste será uno de los inviernos más fríos en muchos años. Ojalá… porque nunca tenemos oportunidad de usar tanta ropa de invierno como quisieramos. Ultimamente he visto muchas fotos de looks en un mismo color con un toque de color contrastante y eso fué lo que hice éste domingo. Opté por llevar todo en negro y contrastarlo con mi sombrero, collar y lipstick rojos. Para éste clima tan frío, llevar un sombrero, gorra o gorro, ayuda muchísimo. Te hace guardar más el calor en tu cuerpo, además de darle un toque distinto a tu atuendo.

Para todos aquellos que nos siguen en nuestras redes sociales, hoy estaremos en un evento de inaguración, así que si vives en Monterrey, quédate pendiente de nuestras actualizaciones para que puedas vivir de cerca ésta celebración y conoscas de qué estamos hablando.

The temperature in Monterrey has been going down like crazy, and the truth is we are not used to this type of cold weather. Many state that this will be one of the coldest winters of all times in our city. I wish… because we never get the chance to use as much winter clothes as we want to. Lately, I’ve seen many monochromatic looks with pops of color and that is what I did last Sunday. I decided to wear an all black outfit and red details on the hat, necklace and lips. For this cold weather, wearing a hat, beenie or cap helps a lot, specially because it helps you keep the warmth within your body, plus it gives your look an extra chic detail.

Querétaro

El pasado fin de semana hice un pequeño viaje a Querétaro, no conocía éste estado de México y me pareció un lugar muy colorido, con tradiciones muy fuertes y comida deliciosa! Aquí encuentras opciones para todos gustos a pocos kilómetros de distancia, ya sea que busques gastronomía, diversión al aire libre, ir de compras de artículos típicos mexicanos o de artículos en tendencia (cuentan con H&M, ZARA, Palacio de Hierro.. y la lista sigue! pronto tendrán también Forever 21) En fin, yo hice un poco de todo y asistí a la inaguración de Norcentral Mx, para todos aquellos amantes de los deportes que vivan en Querétaro, ÉSTE es el lugar!

Tuve oportunidad de tomarme fotos en el Centro de Querétaro, un lugar muy diverso en todos los aspectos y que me recordó mucho a Barrio Antiguo, un lugar aquí en mi ciudad; sólo que en Querétaro está mucho más grande y podría decir que mucho más visitado y conservado. Me inspiró mucho mi blusa con el estampado que tiene de vitrales de iglesia (moría por una blusa así) ya que en el centro de Querétaro tienen varias capillas e Iglesias, los colores de la blusa combinaban perfecto con ésta falda guinda y mi bolsa holográfica dorada; agregue unos lentes cat eye y ésta increíble chaqueta de piel que encontré en ZARA, fue amor a primera vista y de nuevo mis zapatos de cintas, uno de mis pares favoritos por el momento.

Last weekend I made a roadtrip to Querétaro, I had never been in this State of Mexico and I found it a really colorful place with strong traditions and amazing food. Here you can find options for any mood a few miles away, whether you are looking for great gastronomy, outdoor activities or going shopping for mexican items or fashion related ones (they have H&M, ZARA, Palacio de Hierro… and the list goes on! they will have Forever21 as well) I madea little bit of everything and I went to the inaguration of Norcentral Mx, for all those who love sports that live in Querétaro, this is THE PLACE.

I was able to take some photos in Querétaro, a really diverse place in every way and reminded me a lot to Barrio Antiguo, a small place here in my city; but this one is bigger and a little more visited. I was really inspired with my shirt print like church stained glass windows (I wanted so badly a top like this one) there are many church in Queretaro, the shirt colors matched perfectly with my burgundy skirt and my golden holographic bag, I added this cat eye sunnies and this incredible leather jacket from ZARA, it was love at first sight and once again my strappy heels, one of my favorite pair in my closet

Phillip Lim for Target -The Blazer-

Una de las mejores cosas en el mundo de la moda actual son la colaboraciones de grandes diseñadores con tiendas de mayor acceso. La más reciente… Isabel Marant para H&M, que ha sido una locura en el mundo de la moda como toda buena colaboración sus productos se agotaron en cuestión de horas, algunos diría que en minutos; pero la verdad es que sus precios se me hicieron muy elevados y no sentí ese pensamiento de ¨lo necesito¨ que me ha pasado (muchas veces). Una colaboración que se lanzó hace un par de meses fue la de Phillip Lim para Target; si fui de esas que se levantaron en la madrugada para alcanzar a comprar alguna de sus prendas y fui afortunada en poder comprar éste saco de estampado increíble. Solamente quería compartirles un post usándolo, ya que no había tenido oportunidad de hacerlo, un look muy casual pero ideal y también unas fotos muy apresuradas (el cambio de horario no me ayuda nada con la luz) pero suficientes para mostrarles una opción de cómo usar el saco. Cuales han sido sus últimas compras en colaboraciones de diseñador?
