Preppy Blues

I don’t think of myself as a very preppy-style person. Actually, I think this is not my regular look but Saturday morning was all about embracing different styles and trying to experiment with uncommon looks. I know what my style is, I just think sometimes you should try different options and you might be surprised by realizing there’s more to your character and personality than you imagined. I’ve always thought of style being “something that speaks for you without the need of words.” Style should be the perfect reflection of how you feel in a day or sometimes, how you want to feel. Fashion gives you that, the option to transform your feelings, your confidence, and your character. That’s where I fell in love with fashion, not only because of the fancy clothes and the exclusive pieces but because you have infinity of choices to make for the person you want to be today.

No me considero una persona muy del estilo preppy. De hecho, éste no es mi look regularmente pero el Sábado me levanté con la actitud perfecta para probar diferentes estilos y experimentar con otros looks. Yo sé cual es mi estilo, pero creo que a veces debes probar diferentes opciones y el resultado puede llegar a ser una sorpresa cuando te das cuenta que hay más en tu carácter y personalidad de lo que imaginabas. Siempre he pensado que estilo es “algo que habla por ti sin necesidad de palabras.” El estilo debe ser una reflección perfecta de cómo te sientes en el día o en otras ocasiones, de cómo te quieres sentir. La moda te da eso, la opción de transformar tus sentimientos, tu autoestima y confianza, y tu carácter. Ahí fue cuando me enamore de la moda, no sólo por la ropa bonita y las piezas de prestigio sino porque tienes una infinidad de opciones a elegir para decidir la persona que quieres ser hoy.
