Leather sleeves + white

Éste es el segundo look de nuestra nueva dinámica.
Para quienes aún no saben sobre ella, les explico rápido; vamos a estar compartiendo tendencias específicas por semana y la manera en la cual cada una de nosotras la aplica en sus outfits. Así, ustedes pueden ver diversas opciones y adaptar a su estilo la que más se empareje con su personalidad y gustos.

La PIEL es la tendencia de esta primer semana y la manera en la cual la aplique fue en los pequeños detalles de mi blazer (mangas, cuello, solapas, etc). Además de estar presente en mi bolso y zapatos (por si no lo habían notado, mi juego favorito ultimamente).
Quise aprovechar estos últimos días frescos para utilizarla, aunque en realidad como había mencionado Denise la principal ventaja de esta tendencia es que esta presente cada estación por lo que no deberás preocuparte en que época del año estas vistiendo piel. Cómo muestra de que no pasa de moda, he preparado para mi próximo post los mejores looks en piel del London Fashion Week.

This is the second look of our new post initiave.
For those who still do not know about it, let me explain: we will be sharing specific trends per week and the way each of us applies them into our outfits. In that way, you´ll be able to have different options and get inspired by the one that matches your personality and style.
LEATHER is the first trend, and I applied it in the little details of my blazer (sleeves , collar, lapels, etc.) . Besides from being the material of my bag and shoes (if you did not noticed, they have been my favorite duo lately).
I used this blazer, taking advantage of the last cool days of the season, but actually like Denise mentioned, the main benefit of the leather pieces is that this trend is present all the seasons, so you won´t need to worry about whether you are in or out using it. Just to prove you this trend is timeless I have prepared the best leather looks of London Fashion week in my next post.

Simple Sweatshirt

La semana pasada les compartí un look de falda usando de top una sudadera gris, la cual compré literalmente en un supermercado. Esta semana el frío tan repentino me obligó a usarla de nuevo, y aproveché para mostrarles otra manera de crear un outfit con ella.
Las piezas básicas tienen un sin fin de ventajas: precio, versatilidad, accesibilidad, variedad, y la más importante atemporalidad (Si es que existe este termino).

Use diferentes tonos  de grises así como de negros. Aunque simple , como la mayoría de mis últimos looks, encontré muy divertido mezclar diversas texturas (terciopelo, algodón, charol, etc) .

Que pasen un excelente San Valentín con quien sea que lo pasen y muchas felicidades a mi hermosa hermana que cumple años!

Last week, I published an outfit post wearing a skirt and a basic gray sweatshirt which I literally found on a supermarket. This week, because of the cold weather, I saw myself forced to use it again, so I took advantage of the opportunity to show you another way to create an outfit with it.
Basic pieces really have a great number of benefits: Good price, versatility, accessibility, and most important timelessness (if that´s even a word)

I used different shades of gray and black. And although the complete outfit it´s simple, I think it was fun mixing different textures (velvet, cotton, patent, etc).

Windowpane skirt

Por fin Viernes y para acabar la semana les dejo un look que use el fin de semana pasado, (cuando el clima aún lo permitía)

Ultimamente trato de hacer mis looks lo mas sencillos posibles, me inspiro en muchas personas, sitios, partes, Pinterest es mi fuente  favorita y mi actual obsesión es Elin Kling, siempre me ha atraido su estilo sobre todo por lo elegante y  chic que puede hacer ver cualquier prenda básica.

Ustedes tienen alguna fuente de inspiración que los mantenga obsesionados últimamente?

Perfect Combination

Esto es lo que yo llamo una combinación perfecta: elementos muy básicos, mezclado creando un look muy completo.

– Blusa blanca: Pieza esencial que todos deben tener en su armario. Económica y fácil de encontrar.
– Falda negra tipo lápiz: EL mejor color, el mejor corte en una falda. También es muy fácil de conseguir y puedes encontrar miles de estilos, como la mía, que tiene una capa de malla por encima.
– Botas Chunky: El mejor contraste en cualquier outfit. Puede ser cualquier estilo de botas, siempre y cuando te queden bien y te gusten.

This is what I call a perfect combination: pretty basic items, mixed up creating a very complete outfit.

– White shirt: Essential piece that everyone should have in their closet. Affordable and easy to find.
– Black pencil skirt: Best color, best cut on a skirt. Also very easy to get and you can find tons of variations, like mine which has a mesh layer over it.
– Chunky boots: The best contrast on any outfit. Could be any style of boots as long as looks good on you.

All Loose

Ultimamente, mi closet ha sido victima de mi reciente atracción por las prendas holgadas sobretodo hablando de jeans y pantalones. Amo lo cómodos que son y lo fácil que puedes cambiar de casual a formal. Tengo más de un par que meuro por mostrarles, incluyendo los que uso en estas fotografías. El color, la tela, el corte y la forma en que me quedan son perfectos para mi gusto.

Además en este outfit estoy probando algo nuevo para mi, ya que siempre había pensado que si una parte de tu look es holgada o suelta la otra debe ser ajustada para no verte muy cuadrada o sin figura, pero esta vez me llamo la atención hacer lo contrario y decidí usar prendas muy sueltas. Al final el resultado me gusto y fue de lo más cómodo usar este tipo de ropa.

Deberían de intentarlo, prendas sueltas y capas para invierno!

Lately my closet has been a victim of my recent attraction to very loose clothing especially jeans and trousers. I love how comfortable they are and how easy you can switch from casual to formal. I can not wait to show you a couple of them, including the ones that I´m using on these pictures. The color, the fabric, the cut and the way I they fit me are perfect for me.
I’m also trying something new for me, since I have always thought that if a part of your look is loose the other one must be tight so your body don´t look without shape or with a square shape. But this time I decided to do exactly the opposite and wear only loose clothes. I really liked the result and it was very comfortable.

You should try, loose clothing and layers for winter!

D.I.Y. circle skirt

Hace ya un buen tiempo, mi novio me regalo una maquina de coser.
La verdad no soy muy buena cosiendo, pero desde entonces me la paso buscando cosas que hacer con ella. Desde arreglar o modificar cualquier ropa que me encuentro hasta tratar de hacerla desde cero (obvio no soy experta, así que las cosas que he logrado hacer tienen sus detalles, además siempre trato de buscar piezas simples o proyectos D.I.Y. ).
Un ejemplo de las cosas que he logrado terminar es esta falda circular, es una prenda básica y muy simple. Es totalmente recomendable para aquellas personas que al igual que yo tienen muy pocos conocimientos sobre corte y confección pero que les llama mucho la atención.
Les comparto también esta foto que encontre en internet, la cual describe perfectamente los pasos que seguí.
Espero les sirva para hacer su propia falda circular.

Preppy Blues

I don’t think of myself as a very preppy-style person. Actually, I think this is not my regular look but Saturday morning was all about embracing different styles and trying to experiment with uncommon looks. I know what my style is, I just think sometimes you should try different options and you might be surprised by realizing there’s more to your character and personality than you imagined. I’ve always thought of style being “something that speaks for you without the need of words.” Style should be the perfect reflection of how you feel in a day or sometimes, how you want to feel. Fashion gives you that, the option to transform your feelings, your confidence, and your character. That’s where I fell in love with fashion, not only because of the fancy clothes and the exclusive pieces but because you have infinity of choices to make for the person you want to be today.

No me considero una persona muy del estilo preppy. De hecho, éste no es mi look regularmente pero el Sábado me levanté con la actitud perfecta para probar diferentes estilos y experimentar con otros looks. Yo sé cual es mi estilo, pero creo que a veces debes probar diferentes opciones y el resultado puede llegar a ser una sorpresa cuando te das cuenta que hay más en tu carácter y personalidad de lo que imaginabas. Siempre he pensado que estilo es “algo que habla por ti sin necesidad de palabras.” El estilo debe ser una reflección perfecta de cómo te sientes en el día o en otras ocasiones, de cómo te quieres sentir. La moda te da eso, la opción de transformar tus sentimientos, tu autoestima y confianza, y tu carácter. Ahí fue cuando me enamore de la moda, no sólo por la ropa bonita y las piezas de prestigio sino porque tienes una infinidad de opciones a elegir para decidir la persona que quieres ser hoy.

Not an ordinary necklace

Really simple look for a comfy sunday with the family and friends. I found this long and rare necklace shopping through a flea market, I really think you can find very interesting and original things in places like those. You can a have a very plain t-shirt and boost it up with accessories like that.

Un look súper simple para un domingo agusto con la familia y amigos. Encontré éste collar grande y raro mientras paseaba en un mercado. Creo que puedes encontrar cosas muy interesantes y originales en lugares como éste. Puedes usar una blusa súper sencilla y arreglarla completamente con accesorios como ese.

Printed Pants

Finally got time to take some pictures during the weekend. Even though it was so hectic, so much I didn’t feel I had time to rest, I managed to take some shots of my day. I went to have lunch to a very interesting place called “Taqueria Canalla”. Great place and food and the “water of the house” was A-MA-ZING! If you’re ever around, you definitely should try this place.

Lately I have been obsessing over delicate jewelry and the art of stacking necklaces, bracelets or rings is one of my favorite. Why? Cause I can never pick just one piece to wear, so this fits perfectly for me. Love my tiny heart gold earrings, and if you love them too, wait for our new collection coming to our Shop soon.

Al fin tuve oportunidad de tomarme fotos durante el fin de semana. Aún y cuando estuvo de locos, tanto que nisiquiera pude sentir que tuve tiempo de descansar, pude tomar unas cuantas fotos de mi día para compartirlas con ustedes. Fuí a comer a un lugar muy interesante llamado “Taquería Canalla”. La comida y el lugar fueron muy buenos, ¡pero el “agua de la casa” sabía DE-LI-CIO-SA! Si algún día están por la ciudad, deben de probarlo definitivamente.

Últimamente me he obsesionado con la joyer{ia delicada y minimalista además, el arte de juntar collares, pulseras o anillos es uno de mis favoritos. ¿Por qué? Pues nunca puedo elegir sólo una pieza para usar, así que ésta tendencia es ideal para mí.  ¿Les gustan mis aretes diminutos de corazón? Si es así, esperen nuestra nueva colección que llegara pronto a nuestra Tienda.

Military Green

Sunday was a lot of fun. My boyfriend drove me downtown in search for unique jewelry which lately have been my obsession and I found some awesome pieces which I’ll be wearing so soon.

El domingo fue un día súper divertido. Mi novio me llevo al barrio antiguo en busca de piezas únicas de joyería que últimamente ha sido mi obsesión y de hecho encontré muy buenas cosas que estaré usando muy pronto.
