Sheer under the skirt -Part 2

El negro es uno de los colores mas predominantes en mi clóset, sobre todo porque no es un color de un sólo tipo de artículo sino que lo buscas en todo… blusas, pantalones, zapatos, bolsas, vestidos, FALDAS. Y claro, para alguien que no le importa mucho podría decir que tengo 5 faldas negras idénticas en mi clóset… pero ustedes entienden totalmente si digo: no son idénticas, cada una tiene largos/cortes diferentes, sin mencionar las telas o tipo de ocasión para la que me serviría.

La falda que usé para el post de hoy ya tenía tiempo esperándola, me encanta cada detalle de ella. Los cortes asimetricos, la tela transparente que se asoma desde abajo, y bueno… es negra! Ésta falda puede ser opcion tanto para un look super casual, como formal dependiendo de cómo la combines; yo me quede entre casual y formal para el look de ése día. Black is one of the most predominant colors in my closet, specially because is not a color that you can wear the most with only one piece in your closet, you look for that color in everything: tops, pants, shoes, bags, SKIRTS. And of course, for someone who doesn’t get it would say I have 5 identical skirts in my closet… but you would totally understood if I say: they are not identical, each one of them have their own length, fabrics and occasion where I wear it.

MET Gala 2013

The MET Gala was so controversial and everyone was talking about the outfits inspired in the “Punk” theme.

Here are my favorites. I did added some unexpected looks that I think they were pulled off quite cool. Even though they wouldn’t be a first choice, they stood out for being unique and trendy. And well Sarah Jessica Parker, is Sarah Jessica Parker if you know what I mean.

Talking about trends we can clearly see that sheers, interesting cut-outs and textures are the main features here. From different lengths to shapes and cropped tops, the details on every dress are to die for.

For example, Alexa Chung’s pick was so adorable and daring, while Cara’s screamed punk in the best trendy way. For me, Taylor Swift nailed it too even though there were transparencies all along the side of the dress.

Olivia Wilde made me fall in love with this Calvin Klein dress she wore in black and white while Kate Bosworth killed it in Balmain.

What do you think, which was you favorite? What trend will you incorporate to you summer dresses?

El MET Gala 2013 fué muy controversial y todo el mundo está hablando de los vestidos inspirados en el tema “Punk”.

Aquí están mis favoritos. Agregué algunos looks inesperados que a mi gusto, funcionaron. Aún y cuando no hubieran sido la primera elección, se distinguieron por originales y en tendencia. Y bueno, Sarah Jessica Parker, es Sarah Jessica Parker si saben a lo que me refiero.

Hablando de las tendencias podemos identificar las transparencias, los cortes interesantes y las texturas, que fueron las principales características a notar. Desde distintos largos a formas complejas y tops cortos, los detalles en cada vestido eran para morir por ellos.

Por ejemplo, la elección de Alexa Chung era adorable y atrevida al mismo tiempo mientras que el vestido de Cara gritaba punk y chic fuertemente. Para mí, Taylor Swift eligió muy bien su vestido aun y cuando tenia transparencias a todo lo largo.

Olivia Wilde me encamoró del vestido Calvin Klein que usó en blanco y negro mientras que Kate Bosworth se veía perfecta en Balmain.

Qué opinan, cuál es su favorito? Que tendencia van a incorporar a sus vestidos de verano?

Outfits

White Basics

I’ve found myself wearing this type of outfit really constantly, it is pretty much comfortable but stylish. I found these classic high-waisted denim shorts in a sale (thank God they were made up of real denim and not the fake denim you find now that’s made up of acrylic fibers mostly) and they were the best purchase ever made. Oh, and btw… EVERYONE should own white shirts in different fabrics, shapes and lengths. They’re a must!

Me he dado cuenta que constantemente uso este outfit, es prácticamente cómodo pero con estilo al mismo tiempo. Encontré éstos clásicos shorts de mexclilla a la cintura en oferta (gracias a Dios eran de mezclilla real y no la que consigues ahora que es más licra que algodón) y realmente son una de las mejores compras que he hecho. Ah y por cierto, TODOS deberían tener en su clóset blusas/camisas blancas en distintos largos, telas y formas. ¡Son un básico necesario!
