Virgen de Guadalupe

As you may know we are Mexicans, and one of my favorite things is having a lot of traditions and culture. Religion, is something really important and most of Mexicans are Catholics. I wanted to share with you a tradition I follow with my family: peregrinations. These are an expression of faith and people do them all around the year, but most specially in December; they have “matlachines” (dancers in colorful customs, they represent our traditions) and “viejos de la danza”  (people in scary costumes, that represent evil trying to avoid getting into our destiny which is the temple.

Do you have traditions like this? What kind of things represent your country or believes?
