Palm tree shorts

You have listened to so much about the running shorts trend and I’m pretty sure you’ve seen plenty of options. Actually, we are selling some of our own and original “Running Shorts in a Mexican Way”, you can check them out in our Facebook Page. It is worth to say that they are in no way sporty gear, instead it’s a global trend turned into current fashion apparel that screams chic. And pretty soon, you’ll be seeing how we style them, so make sure to get yours because they are limited and we just have a few left.

For this look, I paired a very simple white t-shirt, always a basic I must say, with this palm tree silk short. Until here, your outfit can get really sporty or switch to become chic and trendy. By adding some simple heels and a clutch, this look automatically turned into a look to take almost anywhere, from movies to dinner and hangouts with friends.

Han escuchado muchísimo de la tendencia de los shorts deportivos y estoy segura que han visto un montón de opciones en las tiendas. De hecho, nosotras vendemos nuestros originales y exclusivos “Shorts Deportivos con un toque Mexicano” que pueden conseguir en nuestra página de Facebook. Vale la pena decir que no son ropa deportiva literal, sino es una adaptación de una tendencia global para la moda que grita chic. Y muy pronto, van a poder ver más opciones para usarlos, así que les recomiendo que compren el suyo porque son limitados y nos quedan súper pocos.

Para éste look, combiné una camiseta blanca sencilla, siempre un básico debo decir, con éste short de seda de palmeras. Hasta éste punto, el look puede dirigirse hacia dos caminos distintos, el look deportivo o el look moderno y chic. En el momento en que agregas unos zapatos altos y un clutch, el look se volvió súper versátil y lo podrás usar casi en cualquier lugar, desde el cine hasta una cena o salida con amigos.

Gorilla t-shirt

Hi lovely readers!! Do you remember a couple of years ago when Christopher Kane launched this awesome t-shirts with a gorilla face or an atomic explosion over them? I remember I liked them so much, but they were out of  my budget (kind of expensive for a t-shirt) so when I saw this one in F21 and tried it on, totally reminded me those and I bought it.

I love this kind of looks, simple but with special items, like my holographic bag from Mexican designer Jonathan Morales, this amazing black sandals and my latest purchase: a Mango necklace.

Hola lectores! Recuerdan hace un par de años cuando Christopher Kane lanzó unas camisetas con la cara de un gorilla o la explosión de una bomba atómica? Yo recuerdo que me encantaban, pero estaban fuera de mi presupesto (un poco caras para una camiseta) así que cuando vi ésta en F21 y me la probé, me recordó totalmente a esas y la compré. Me encantan esté tipo de looks, simples pero con piezas especiales, como mi bolsa holográfica de Jonathan Morales, éstos zapatos negros y mi última compra: un collar de Mango.

Black sleeveless blazer

Do you remember my POST about sleeveles blazers? Well, this outfit is inspired on that trend.
To be honest I was looking for a white one, but you have no idea how difficult it was to find it and sadly I didn´t, but I did find this black one which is pretty cool too. (However I am still on the searching of a white sleeveless blazer because I think this trend is a keeper for this year´s summer.)

I can imagine lots of ways of wearing it and as I mentioned on my post about this garment, it is very versatile. This time I wore it with a pair of printed jeans, a white simple top and black heels. I think the next time will be in a more dressy way and of course I will share the look.

¿Recuerdan mi POST sobre los blazers sin mangas? Bueno, este outfit está inspirado en esa tendencia.
Para ser honesta, yo estaba buscando uno en color blanco, pero de verdad no tienen ni idea de lo difícil que fue encontrarlo y lamentablemente no lo hice, pero lo que si encontré fue este negro que esta bastante bonito también. (Sin embargo todavía estoy en la búsqueda del blanco, porque creo que esta tendencia va a perdurar por lo menos para el verano de este año.)

Me imagino un montón de maneras de usarlo y como he mencionado en mi post sobre esta prenda, es muy versátil. Esta vez llevaba un par de jeans impresos, una simple camiseta blanca y zapatos de tacón negros. Creo que la próxima vez será de una forma más arreglada y por supuesto voy a compartir las fotos.

Bright Pop of Color in a Neon Way

Yesterday we had beautiful spring weather and this is what I wore yesterday to a friend’s goodbye party. This shorts were actually one of my favorite buys back in our trip to Austin. At first, I wasn’t so sure about the super bright colors, but the more I saw them, the more I liked them.

One thing I do when shopping is I picture my picks with outfit options in my head related to what I own back home. And even if I can only find one or two, but I really love them, I do get the stuff. In fact, when I come home, I find way more options that I could think of, so try and do this if you don’t want to end up with stuff you do not know how to wear. If you can think of two or three ways to wear the piece you have in you hands at the store, get it.

And make sure to take little risks like I did pairing neon orange with turquoise heels. I hada a lot of fun!

 Ayer tuvimos el clima perfecto de verano y ésto fué lo que usé para la fiesta de despedida de una amiga. Los shorts fueron una de mis compras favoritas en mi viaje a Austin. Al principio, no estaba muy segura de ellos por su color tan brillante, pero entre más los veía, más me gustaban.

Una cosa que siempre hago cuando voy de compras es imaginar mis opciones que tengo en casa para combinar con las cosas que he elegido en la tienda. Y aunque a veces solo puedo pensar en una o dos, si me gustó muchísimo, lo compro. De hecho, cuando llego a casa, encuentro más opciones para combinarlo, así que les recomiendo que intenten esto cuando vayan a comprar para que no terminen con algo que no saben con qué usar. Si puedes pensar en dos o tres maneras de usarlo, cómpralo.

Y asegurate de tomar algunos riesgos cuando lo combines así como yo, que elegí usar shorts naranja neon con zapatos aqua. Me divertí mucho!

WRAP SKIRTS

Today I am sharing with you another great trend for this summer. I must confess a couple of years ago I was not a fan of skirts, maybe because of my skinny legs -I didn’t feel too comfortable wearing them- (I know, they are still skinny, but I don’t care about it anymore). Now I really enjoy trying new things in skirts just like this trend… Wrap Skirts. They can have eccentric patterns, one color, textures or the great asymmetrical effect that adds the perfect edgy look. Check out some examples of this trend and try it!

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes otra gran tendencia para éste verano. Debo confesar que antes no me encantaban las faldas, tal vez por mis piernas delgadas -no me sentía muy agusto usandolas- (yo sé, sigo teniendo piernas flacas, pero ya no me molesta). Ahora realmente disfruto usando cosas nuevas en faldas, justo cómo ésta tendencia… Pueden tener estampados excéntricos, sólo un color, texturas o el gran efecto asimétrico que le agrega el perfecto look vanguardista. Checa éstos ejemplos y prueba la tendencia!

III Monochrome Look -WHITE

If you have been reading our blog lately, you probably know already what is this post about: The monochrome look in WHITE color. This one is the last of the recent collaboration we did with “My Style Status”, an incredible British fashion blog you should check out (post HERE).

We decided to style this trend in our own way and it definitely went well for the three of us; my outfit is focused on the high waisted shorts I´m wearing, I bought them like 2 weeks ago and I love them. They are very comfortable and versatile, plus the fit and the cut stylize your figure and help your legs look longer than they are.

I wore them with a simple shirt, my new aldo sunnies and one of my favorite type of heels: high heel sandals.
I really hope these posts have inspired you to try this amazing trend, because you won´t regret.

Si ustedes han estado leyendo nuestro blog últimamente, probablemente ya sabrán de que se trata mi post de hoy: ​​Look monocromático en color BLANCO. Éste es el último de la colaboración que hicimos con “My Style Status”, un increíble blog de moda británico que les recomiendo que vean (post AQUÍ).

Decidimos usar un outfit relacionado con esta tendencia cada quien con su propio estilo y creo que definitivamente nos fue muy bien a las tres. Mi outfit se enfoca en los shorts a la cintura que estoy usando, los compre hace 2 semanas y me encantan. Son muy cómodos y versátiles, además de que la forma y el corte estilizan tu figura y ayuda a que tus piernas se vean más largas de lo que son.

Los usé con una blusa muy simple, mis nuevos lentes Aldo y uno de mis estilos de tacones favorito: Sandalias de tacón alto.
Realmente espero que estos posts los hayan inspirado a probar esta tendencia que es increíble, ya que no se arrepentirán.

II Monochrome Look -WHITE

Hello all! We are already half-way through the week and we’ve got so much more for you. Yesterday, Denise was telling you about this monochromatic trend we had acquired as our challenge for a special collaboration and this is my version. I have always been the classic, trendy styled type girl and I couldn’t resist wearing my Zara asymmetrical short/skirt. I paired with a super simple white tee and a white Urban Outfitters blazer.

I couldn’t believe how comfortable I felt in this outfit. Truly one of my favorites and you can always use this type of trend for a party, date night and even for work. Remember, white is major this season too and to accomplish it, you have to pick unique pieces that fit you properly (remember the “Smart Shopping” post? If not, you should scroll down and read it.)

Hola a todos! Ya estamos a la mitad de la semana y tenemos todavía mucho para ustedes. Ayer Denise les compartió la noticia de que estaríamos adoptando ésta tendencia, cada una a su manera, para una colaboración especial y ésta es mi versión. Siempre he sido la chica con estilo clásico pero en tendencia y no pude resistir usar mi falda/short asimétrico de Zara. Lo combiné con una playera blanca muy sencilla y mi saco de Urban Outfitters.

No podía creer lo cómoda que me sentí en ése atuendo. Realmente ha sido uno de mis preferidos y lo padre es, que lo puedes usar fácilmente para una fiesta, una cita por la noche y hasta para el trabajo. Recuerden, el blanco es una tendencia muy fuerte ésta temporada y para que lo logren de la mejor manera, deberán elegir piezas únicas que favorezcan su figura (recuerdan el post de “Smart Shopping”? Si no es así, búsquenlo por abajo y léanlo.)

Monochrome Look -WHITE

Hi Readers! This post has a ¨theme¨ totally related to Ana Lucia’s last post: Monochromatic Looks. We made a collaboration with a fashion site (we will show you soon) where we had to adopt a trend with our own styles. We chose Monochrome Look wearing the color WHITE. I was really excited about trying this one (I usually don’t wear this trend) and then I realized: I don’t have white bottoms! (just my sister’s white jeans) so I decided using backwards this black running shorts I bought some weeks ago and I think it worked.

I wore white all over,  just added some metallic cuffs and nude heels. I saw this fair near home and thought it would be a fun contrast of colors. I will continue trying this trend so I can get better on styling it. How about you? Have you wore this?

Hola lectores! Éste post tiene un tema totalmente relacionado al último de Ana Lucía: Monochromatic Looks. Hicimos una colaboración con una página de moda (les mostraremos pronto) donde debíamos adoptar una tendencia con nuestros propios estilos. Elegimos la tendencia de Look Monocromo usando el color Blanco. Estaba muy emocionada de probar esta tendencia (no suelo usarla) y luego me di cuenta que no tengo bottoms blancos! (sólo los jeans blancos de mi hermana) así que decidí usar al revés estos shorts para correr negros  que compré hace unas semanas, y creo que funcionó.

Decidí vestirme totalmente de blanco, solo agregue unas pulseras metálicas y mis zapatos nude. Vi ésta feria cerca de mi casa y pensé que sería un constraste divertido de colores. Seguiré intentando usar la tendencia para mejorar en la forma de usarla. Y ustedes? La han usado?

The Color Run Austin

Hi dear readers!

Everyone needs a little get-away sometimes and that’s what we had two weekends ago. It all started with Pinterest and a colorful picture which turned out to be the one-and-only “Color Run”. The video showed the most amazing race and tons of people having the time of their life. We HAD to do it. Austin, Texas was the chosen place and here we went.
Tickets were bought, hotels were booked and the schedule was complete. We had the most fun in the trip and enjoyed of lots of extra things in between.
And just to get everyone set, all the money raised goes to a Cancer Foundation and the dates and places are on their webpage. It is a 5K full of color, music, friends and energy. And guess what? We were part of the first Harlem Shake of the Color Run ever… SO FUN!

This happened to be our second trip together and let us tell you that traveling with your best friends is the most incredible thing you could do and now, we are definitely planning the next place to visit because as some say “the money spent on travel is not spent money at all”

Hola queridos lectores!

Todo el mundo necesita una pequeña escapada de la rutina diaria a veces y eso fue lo que tuvimos hace dos fines de semana. Todo comenzó con Pinterest y una foto muy colorida que resultó ser del tan famoso “Color run”. El video que encontramos sobre la carrera mostraba el evento más increíble y a un montón de personas pasandola increíble. Así que decidímos que teníamos que hacerlo. Austin, Texas fue el lugar elegido y allí fuimos.
Las entradas fueron compradas, los hoteles reservados y el calendario planeado. Durante el viaje tuvimos muchísima diversión y disfrutamos de un montón de cosas adicionales en el medio.
Y solo como información extra, todo el dinero recaudado por “The Color run” se destina a una fundación para el Cáncer; las fechas y lugares en dónde se lleva a cabo cada año están en su página web. Se trata de una carrera de 5 km llena de color, música, energía y gente muy agradable. Y ¿adivinen qué? Fuimos parte del primer “Harlem shake” hecho por “The Color run”… tan divertido!

Este fue nuestro segundo viaje juntas y dejanos decirte que viajar con tus mejores amigos es lo más increíble que puedes hacer, y definitivamente ahora estamos planeando cual será el siguiente lugar para visitar, porque como algunos dicen “el dinero gastado en viajes no es dinero gastado en lo absoluto “
